Use Alexa or Hey Google to Help you Practice

One of the biggest challenges of playing any instrument is finding time to practice consistently. The best tip I have is to set aside a scheduled time to practice daily and consistently rather than in random bulks of time sparingly through the week. Studies of shown it’s better to practice 10 min every day than one hour one day out of the whole week. So how do you get in the rhythm of a regular practice routine? ALEXA or Hey Google Device. Yes, you read correctly. Alexa and Google will help you practice. Students of all ages as young as 4 up to elderly age can tell Alexa or Hey Google to set a reminder to notify you to practice AND time your practice. So say you want to practice for 30 min, then you tell your device to remind you after school to practice at 4pm and notify you when 30 min is up instead of being distracted at keeping time on your phone or clock. Give it try. One of my newest students, Jonah does this and it works!!! So thank to Jonah, I’m passing this tip unto you! Now HAPPY PRACTICING! Read more on How to Practice Piano effectively.
